Super Duplex Zeron 100 (UNS S32760) Pipes & Tubes

The most highly alloyed Super Duplex grade — Tungsten and Copper enhanced for maximum resistance to mineral acids and aggressive sour gas environments.

Product Overview

Super Duplex Zeron 100 (UNS S32760) is a high-alloy Super Duplex stainless steel with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) of >40. It is characterized by its 25% Chromium, 7% Nickel, and 3.5% Molybdenum content, but what sets it apart is the addition of Copper and Tungsten. This unique chemistry provides exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in hot seawater and aggressive acidic environments. S32760 exhibits high mechanical strength and excellent ductility. It is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in both chloride and sour environments. Steel Emporium supplies UNS S32760 pipes and tubes for the most demanding offshore, subsea, and chemical applications.

Key Advantages & Features

Max Pitting Resistance

PREN >40 ensures superior resistance to localized corrosion in warm seawater.

Enhanced Acid Resistance

Tungsten and Copper additions provide better stability in various mineral acids.

Extreme Strength

Offers nearly double the yield strength of standard austenitic 316L pipes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The term "Super" refers to the high alloy content (25% Cr) and a PREN value higher than 40. S32760 is specifically distinguished by its addition of Copper and Tungsten for extreme corrosion resistance.

Both are Super Duplex grades. However, S32760 contains intentionally added Copper and Tungsten, which provides slightly better resistance in specific mineral acids (like H2SO4 and HCl) compared to S32750.

Yes, Super Duplex S32760 is magnetic because its microstructure contains approximately 50% Ferrite phase.

The formula used is PREN = %Cr + 3.3(%Mo + 0.5%W) + 16(%N). For S32760, this value is always greater than 40.0, indicating exceptional pitting resistance.

Yes, we supply S32760 Seamless and Welded Pipes in various schedules (SCH 10S to XXS) and customized lengths with complete traceability and Material Test Certificates (MTC).
